Just thought i'd stop by and say hello! just got past the link by Shocx. Didn't even know this site or you all existed. Well i live in Darlo and have a red sachs 4 stroke. Get out on the bike any chance i get, well except for in the rain as a lot of you who own a sachs will know they hate the rain.

Anyone else who owns a Sachs? aha, your having a laugh i hope? we're a dying breed soon to be selling mine and hoping onto a Honda! But yeah, its like water to a witch with these bikes Welcome anyway bud, would be good if you were to come on a ride before I sell this bike, would be good riding with another Sachs rider! (I saw a yellow Sachs in Redcar where I live once, i left him a note with the Sachs forum on, but to my disapointment he never joined :/)

I've thought of a way round that...keep an eye open for some rubber matting at work. "aquire " a bit about 6 inches square (may as well get a couple) punch a hole through it just big enough for your HT lead to pass through. remove Supressor cap from lead, push lead through matting, screw supressor cap back on and push onto spark plug, you now have a weather proof flap above your spark plug. problem solved

it'll need to be relatively heavy stuff in order for it not to flap about, but it should work. The plug design on the sachs is crap. water can get down the side of the supressor cap and pool around the plug causing the HT assembly to short on the head (resulting in no spark from plug) the matting should prevent this if its fitted snug.

Try to as often as possible, just about anywhere in the area, after all have some cracking roads around here. Mainly like the Dales and North York Moors....
