HP Compaq 6220 restore disc

has anybody got one of the above notebook laptops?

i am after a copy of the restore/recovery disc

it is for my daughter who has lost hers(yes she is blonde)

any help greatly appreciated

You can download all the drivers from h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DriverDownload.jsp?prodNameId=447348&lang=en&cc=uk&prodTypeId=321957&prodSeriesId=447371&taskId=135

You'll still need an xp/vista cd though but if you can borrow or scrounge one from somewhere you can use the product key which will be on a sticker on the bottom of the laptop.

If therea problem with it can you not restore it to an earlier time when you didnot have the problem? Or restore backto factory settings it has worked for me in the past and you dont loose everything

thx for the help sorted now,
couldn't do a system restore as can't boot up
\windows\system 32\etc etc

stuck a version of Linux into it to get rid of corrupt parts then installed windows and downloaded all the drives from suggested site,
laptop is now back with my happy daughter
