Very now and again I ride my bike and after about five mins my bike without warming just feels like they resistance on the engine and i lose power and no matter if i drop down gears to keep the revs high i end up in 1st and the bike just stops and i wait a few moments and drives off and fine! am really puzzled! the chain is tight i keep checking the tyre pressure and it fine! :S it's just started happening in the last few weeks!
any ideas? sorry but answers take it to the garage is not helpful because of low funding!

I just realised this is the exact same thing that happened to me on my 125, remember Lee, the day of the Santa Ride. Can't remember how we fixed it though :S Can you?

well my grandfather believes it running rich because the bike not starting straight away and to lee question the oil tank is full and keep going down and can smell the oil burning which shows it's fine due to 2 stroke i really can't understand what could be wrong

One more thing, you say you bump it off. Is that because it's like there is a flat battery, get a multee meter (DVM or AVO) across the battery is should be over 12v when off. Try it on start up, the voltage should drop to about 9v then when the bikes running should be around 13v. Rev the bike to 5000 rpm and it should go to no more than 14.5v if these figures are drastically different your rectifier could be packing in. This would cause a problem which feels like some one has just turned the fuel tap off!

already checked 12 volts and it just turns over and turns over and keeps doing that and when the engine is cold doesn't start too hot doesn't start but if it's warm it starts

When it stops as your riding it does it start straight away? Or does it take a bit (once it's cooled down) check the charging voltages there the important ones, also find the rectifier and check the connection plug for melting and carbon deposits from getting too hot. Some times you can't check the rectifier till you have ridden the bike because if it's gradually breaking Down under heat it may appear to be fully operational when cold (rectifiers get really hot).

Sounds like the coil packs mate. Strip the tank off, sir filter and housing etc and make sure the packs are tight on the plugs.
