Kids who would have them My little one was in bath listening to her music on mp3 player through mini laptop and yes she dropped mp3 in bath. Its on top of dragon viv with silica gell on it.. Whats the chances of it drying out and working again?

Very high, Mine got utterly drenched and its a phillips go gear, goes funny for a few hours until it properly properly drys then works fine, cant promise it will but mine got soaked in a river

I tried opening it but it wont budge the screen is slightly blured with water butdont think it has got into the brains, not much water came out may try the rice thing thanks Chris

You can pop the directional pad off on it steve but it mangles it a bit

Water wont damage anything electrical as long as power is not going thro it, and its totally dry before putting power back on.
Its like if you spill coffee / coke on a keyboard, pull it out and submerge in warm water. After a day or two in the airing cupboard its fine.

glad it wasnt my daughter, she would of tried drying it off by putting it in the microwave (DONT EVEN TRY THIS )

There is a product on the market but can't remember what it's called, basically it's a plastic bag you put the item into and crystal change colour to let you know that all the water has been soaked up and it's safe to turn it back on. It was reviewed on the gadget show and won top remarks Sorry I can't remember the name but if you go to gadget show site you will find it on there

Forgot i put this on Dragons viv and silica gel worked a treat after only 2 days its working fine now ;D Lesson learned water and electrics dont mix

Im thinking the little mp3 player is well waterproofed cuz there was only bit of water behind the screen but was not turning on not bad for bout £20 bet the ipod would be lot worse for ware
