But can I mix them if I want fully synthetic 10W 60 or will they cater for my viscosity with an API ECG EIEIO.......or will an engine flush sort it all out and I can stick mineral oil if its friction coefficient matches that of the two substitutes recommended by Wheelnut?

Recommend me an oilMotor Oil Technical InformationSynthetic oils are not compatible with other oils"All engine oils intended for normal road use in recent 4-stroke engines are compatible with one another, regardless of the base make-up. (mineral, PAO/ester/hydrocracked synthetic, and semisynthetic.) There is no need to flush or strip down an engine when changing from one type to another. (…but be careful with the exceptions of castor oil based racing oils and plant based engine oils.)" Having used the Wurth Engine Flush and Cleaner, the engine oil is definately staying cleaner for longer. The Advantages of Synthetic Oils over Mineral oils"Extended oil drain periods Better wear protection and therefore extended engine life Most synthetics give better MPG They flow better when cold and are more thermally stable when hot Surface-active meaning a thin layer of oil on the surfaces at all times (in ester based oils)"

Just got another fantastic "Price Beater Promise" deal from Opie Oils, well worth the research & phone call.
