I minted it up over winter, but we got caught in 50 miles off rain on monday afternoon. time to get the polish out again. me thinks. mines a 97 on carbs.

i dont mind having to reframe the bike but the cost of those chipped keys makes it unviable to do , shame that, could have been a cheap blacky for me

Is there nobody on here that could bypass the immobiliser system & put a new key/ignition block in off an older model?

Is there nobody on here that could bypass the immobiliser system & put a new key/ignition block in off an older model? i dont know if you can, it probably goes into the ecu and everywhere else too, if it had keys it would have been worth doing that , dunno if you noticed but i dont like to pay much for a bike lol

There is a company that can re-code blank keys, pretty sure I saw something about it on another forum a while back. I shall have a search and post it up if I can find it.

to add on to that last post from mike - i noticed no key with bike on ebay - when our clio back up key was faulty we got another off ebay and it was just recoded by a local renault specialist - maybe you can do the same if theres a key on ebay

looking at your physical build kev,a Buzzard would be a better fit for you and your brass neck, the one that pains ya he he ,raised bars longer leg reach more comfort - honestly dont see any problems just benefits
