There is an android developer kit available from Google/Android. You will need to be able to program though - in Java I believe.
Fortunately, Java is a relatively easy language to learn the basics of. Unfortunately, mastery is difficult and takes time. On the flip side, Java programmers can earn in excess of £60kpa.

if you have heard of legomindstorms NXT then this is make life alot easier to understand a charity is wanting my dad to do a 4 day session with gifted and talented 16 year old students the session has to involve creating an Android APP to be able to program/control the NXT. but before either me or my dad can teach someone we need to figure out how it is done there is already an APP out there for this but we may need to rip it apart and then learn how to put it back together so craig can you pass my details onto you mates as they may be able to help some how

Don't think it is worth it,.. i mean Apple do a free version and a pro version (which costs) unless you hardly get chance to get a PC i use the free version to keep check on things but you can't reply to anything,.. but then i can just go onto the site through the browser and reply to the topic i need to
