As most of you will know now the biking community is realign from the sad and tragic news about the loss of both Mathew Lee and Marie Brown. For my part I only knew Matty in passing but Marie was a close and dear friend to me, my wife and our children.
Her family have informed me that we as bikers, including bikes are welcome to attend her funeral, furthermore if anyone would like to leave a condolence card for her and her family at the Pitstop this Tuesday 21st then I will take them to her house and hand them to her family the following day.
My own thoughts are that we as bikers, irrespective of forum links show her family our solidarity and an acknowledgement of the sad loss. However, these are difficult times for them and all of us, I think we need to maintain a respectful distance whilst they come to terms with recent events and make the necessary arrangements. Marie's family are liaising with me and for my part I will pass on whatever they want me too, but I will not pry for information, dates or arrangements. As a parent myself I can only imagine how hard the loss they have sustained is to bear
I will collect any cards that you want to leave around the close of play this coming Tuesday from the Pitstop. Hillary has kindly said that she will look after any cards until I collect them
