Hi all got my full license in July. rushed out to buy any bike. Ended up With a M reg ZX6R. Now don't gst me wrong I love this bike. But I think for my first one iv maybe got the wrong sort. I did my training down at TTR south bank. Great bunch of lads very easy to get on with would recomend to anyone wanting to upgrade. it was on a diversion i did my test and compared with my ZX6R the ease with which i could ride was massive. A banndit was recommended to me but as i rushed out.
Im more into touring bikes if I'm honest. Anyone recommend my next bike. Wont be for awhile. But would appreciate advice. Thanks in advance.

Think about what you want to do with it? If you want long days out and a bit of touring then maybe a tourer is for you. Try something else, buy what blows your skirt up. You're not entering into a lifelong contract you can change it again when you fancy.

Get yourself on the Ridewell Tees Valley post test training mate. I did my training with TTR. Great for getting through tests but totally different ball game when you hit the roads properly. Aching limbs / back etc probably more to do with how you are riding not the bike. 2 days with Ridewell, you'll be a much better rider, and you'll know if your Ninja is for you or not. If you want a tourer with a sporty feel, VFR800 - does it for me. May even sell you mine next spring as I'm moving up to a sports bike for the summer.

Thanks for advice mate it's more for comfort than anything. Kills my back after a few hours on the ninja. as you ride it more youll be able to ride it further and further without your back hurting your just not use to using them muscles in your back.

Welcome to TB's. Your bike is just a different style to the one that you learned on.
The bars will be lower and I'd guess that you're riding with your arms locked out. That would make the bike hard to ride as you're transferring weight down through the forks. It's a different style of bike, so you need to alter your riding position to suit. You need to change your position slightly, pull your gonads in towards the tank, lean your body forward and then put a bend into your arm. Ideally, you want your forearms to be parallel to the road.
The bike itself is not too radical for a 1st bike. Learn your craft on it, build up some experience and then decide from there.
Stay safe.

L2B are a canny ( if not damned ugly) bunch of lads, there's quite a few on here trying to mix in with the beautiful people of TB's. Seriously tho , JD is a big player in L2B circles and I'm sure he will point you in the direction of social events and ride outs. TB meets are Tuesdays at the Pitstop, rain or shine. Any rideouts or socials are posted in the relevant section. Expect mixed crowds with people affiliated to many groups.. We all enjoy riding bikes after all, that's the most important thing worth remembering. Look forward to meeting you
