OK, so I'm starting to repair my written-off my Lexmoto Ranger after my 'off'. One of the first things that deffo needs to be replaced are the handlebars. I've managed to remove all of the fixings on the left hand side but I'm struggling to remove the twist-grip and control console on the right. It appears to be to simple +ive screws but they refuse to move. I know, the last thing you want is them to come loose when you're riding, so I'm guessing they've been machined on but does anyone have any tips for getting them off? Is there a knack to it or is it as I suspect and I'm just being a weakling?

I know it sound stupid, but try another screw driver. Even better if you have a range of screw driver bits. Some times when screws are tight, you need the correct fitting eg, posi, philips pz2 etc. it may be that the driver your using is twisting out due to wrong size.

Thanks for the offer, jacko. The bike was written off after only a month (it's a 63 plate!) so I'm replacing all the parts with new stock ones. I'm trying to make it as original as possible in the hope it will fetch a decent price when I sell it on.
Cheers, hornut. I'm thinking about hitting the sales and getting myself some new tools. A decent set of screwdrivers is now top of the list!
