Hello All, I am new to MBR and am looking to hit the road with bikers. So now I am looking to buy a bike. I felt a street bike would be comfortable and easy to get on with for the twisty roads in Teeside.
So many to choose from: Triumph street triple /Kawasaki ER6N /Suzuki SFV650 /Yamaha XJ6/Honda CB500F
Folks, I really need your help to decide on which is the best?
All your comments are appreciated and I hope to meet up with you all on the rides soon.
cheers

Aprilia shiver 750 is a great bike, offering a bit of everything and a lot of kit for your money too!

I'd go for the CB500F, but I'm biased. Loving mine and pleased with choice - like yourself relatively new as I'm a returnee and I didn't want a sports bike straight away. Maybe next year, lol

Wildvixen, I stay close to James cook, as well. Looks like there is a good group just off the hospital. Maybe I ll settle for the cbf500. You know how it is zeroing on a bike!

There was a nice MT 09 at the pitstop last night, looked great, and the reviews I have read, really rate them. I ride a cb600f which I really like. Easy to ride and plenty enough power to keep up with most (the bike, not me) and in the naked style your looking for. I'm sure you will enjoy what ever you choose. The dilemma of the candy shop eh!

Welcome to the forum! I'm also pretty new and just bought myself a new hornet! Brilliant bike so far! Well in the whopping 200 miles I've done! You should also look at the new Honda cb650f!

You'll have to keep an eye out for me - white CB500F, travelling up and down Marton Rd, lol. I'm sure we will no doubt meet up at The Pitstop soon on a Tuesday, when I get organised and get myself there. I joined a ride out on Good Friday with some of the guys and they were great really considerate towards the less experienced - so it's definately worth tagging along when you get chance and they are not out for a mad blast.

Thanks Folks, I still feel like a tough choice between MT09 and Street triple. Hoping to test ride both bikes soon and decide on one. I personally like the MT09 but the Triple also excites me on paper. Hope to be on the road soon.
