Hi lads/lasses and thanks for the add. Already a member on facebook, guess this was the next step
I have 2 bikes but both adapted as I am paralysed from the waist down since a bike smash in 2004. I have a SV650 which I can ride with the aid of 'stabiliser wheels' which I can lower when the bike stops and more recently I bought a 1250 Bandit and put a sidecar onto it. Learning to ride a sidecar bike is like starting from scratch and I apologise to any of you who may have had to pass me recently on twisty roads cos I do tend to be very slow on them
I will at some point get to the Pit Stop Café, all dependant on friends being able to ride with me as I need the help with my wheelchair and getting on/off the bike.
Not many of us about who ride carrying wheelchairs so I should be easy to recognise
Pete...

Thanks for the replies guys, I always ride with friends as without their help right at the start I wouldn't even be able to climb onto the bike and strap my legs to it so would never be turning up needing help to get off If ever I was to turn up on my own it would be by car and I have that transfer mastered lol. Look forward to meeting a few of you at some point

Welcome to the forum Pete. Enjoy the craic Pete, Avoid 'Hornut' like the Plague ..... This 'Hornut' Gadgy will bore you to death telling you how he does stoppies from 100mph and how he could get a fridge underneath his back wheel when he's doing it. The truth is, you'd struggle to get a fag paper under his back tyre. Just humour him, he'll buy you tea all night if you just pretend that you're listening to him....

Pete, we have some green eyed monsters on here mate. Just to put the record straight. Look at my avatar. Thats my honda, with me on it, doing a stoppie. Yep, you would probably get a chest freezer under the back wheel. The picture was taken whilst out with Nick W, riding from Scorton to Richmond. I had to slow down to wait for him, and whilst doing so, I thought I'd better pop a stoppie whilst sat tother way round to get some height so I could see for about a mile or so. However Nick was that far behind me, I couldnt see him, so just waited at Richmond for about 20 mins until he turned up.
