Check, kill switch, side stand switch, the operation of any alarm or immobiliser, neutral switch, that the bike is not in gear, some bikes have to have the clutch pulled in to start. Then check that there are no faults with your coils

owning a 1998 ZX6 and no owning a zx9
Immobilizer is in the ignition block. and is disabled when the key has been turned. if their is fault within the block then the bike won't start.but yet will turn over.
