"The motorcyclist, who is from Driffield, East Yorkshire, was riding a silver Honda CBR bike from the Stokesley direction. Near the junction with Laskill on a left-hand bend, he collided with a blue Kia Sorento which was travelling in the opposite direction. " What does this tell us? too fast into a left hander...got the line wrong...ran out wide and into the path of a big truck. The main reason why i wont ride this road on a weekend. imagine if you were travelling in the same direction as the truck 20 metres ahead of it... this guy would have killed you. the bike was about 20yards before the bend, left of front on car ,the 4x4 had a caravan in tow, looking at it, the car and caravan were clearly on its own side of road

Unfortunately it looks as though it was a fatality. Updated 7 minutes ago 'still closed due to accident investigation work being carried out, local diversion routes still in force'. They normally only put that in for fatalities.

Here's me thinking the R in CBR stood for Racing. Hell, even Honda market them as Super Sports or Sports Tourers.

Its sad news indeed.
R.I.P Fella.
No one deserves to die because of a mistake, they deserve to learn from it. Unfortunately though, some people pay the ultimate price when they make a mistake.
I was going to go to Helmsley tomorrow on my way to Brimham Rocks but I am not going to go down the TT route till the dust settles, especially on a weekend.

Really? You want to explain that to the people who make them?

Well 'crispy33'is another classic case of 'everyones a f+++in expert',whats yer crack marra ...wernt allowed a bike .Id try the 'lets explain and educate ' route ,but at my age I cant be arsed to explain
Sorry folks this was my best attempt to be articulate and sensible ........due to I dont think think 'listen a+++hole, just cos mummy ,wife or girlfreind wuddent let yer have a bike ...F++K OFF wiv yer s++T ,and show a bit of respect'.......only cos they said no abuse
