The last few times I've been in AND the last few telephone calls I've been put up against old man Armstrong.
Well, I can honestly say I will never do business with that company again. Rude, unhelpfull and abrupt sums this old spunker up in a sentence. I've been and asked for sponsorship for TB''s he almost pushed me out of the door and when I called today asking for help regarding an electrical fault on the blade he showed complete disinterest and fobbed me off saying "the chap you were speaking to is busy call back later" then hung up! Some way to do business in an economic gloom! He ain't getting any of mine again that's for sure. Thankyou to Petite and france for their assistance and white brothers who also helped in my diagnosis. Oh and btw...I never told any of them who I was!

I'm finding this more and more with a lot of businesses. What happened to the customer always being right? Peoples attitudes stink, no please thank you and very lucky if you get a smile out of most. I've started making a comment now when I find people so bloody miserable and unhelpful.

yep, I know how you feel mandy. This guy was arrogant and rude when I called today, probably because I know how to fault find and eliminate tested components. Not a new bike buyer though as far as this old fcuker was concerned. And it showed!
Unbeknown to him though I have had a little windfall recently and I'm in a position now to buy a new machine. . well, if I do, I won't be doing it on Linthorpe road..i'll guarantee that much!

I find a lot of places r very snotty and judgemental. Even down to stupid things the way u r dressed etc and they judge ye. They dont know what money or position ur in and everyone should be treat the same with respect.

Had a similar problem with Tillstons a while ago, called in for some parts and the bloke behind the counter was talking to one of his mates and showed little interest in serving me. When i asked about the parts all i got was we dont stock them, no checking the computer or looking in the stock room just a blank look and a quick answer, when i asked if i could order them he said you will have to come back tomorrow because the person that does the ordering was on his day off. Went into petite and france with the same request thay had half of what i wanted in stock and ordered the rest for me, totally different attitude. Not been back to tillstons since and petites always first choice now, if they dont have it they can normally get it in a couple of days and so far have never failed to ring me when its come in.

As they say manners are free. You would think in todays economic market they would be going over the top to get peoples business but no some still stay arrogant and unhelpful. Ah well their loss

petite s are mainly yammie stockists but their mechanics gave me the time of day when I called. I think certain dealers feel that because they have been around a while its an excuse to be arrogant. Well, more fool them. My money is as good as the next persons and it'll go where I point it!

I agree with the comment Lee said about Armstrongs, the whole set up is shite. Think all they ever wanted was the Honda jackets to work round saying i work for Honda me. For Honda bits i would use David Silver as they are cheap and its genuine Honda as well What was your elecy fault Lee?? Rectifier???

I've had a similar problem with Armstrongs's although mine is a Yamaha but as soon as i said it had 2 wheels at the back they said no we cant touch that......
I also had the same response with the bloke in Grangetown that Brian Laverick recommends to use....i explained a fault to him and when i said it was a trike he no dont touch things that have 3 or 4 wheels.....

I've had the abrupt treatment at Armstrongs too. Petite and France totally different, even though my bikes a grey import Yam they managed to get some major recall work sorted for me and are very helpful when getting hold of spares.
