All you should need is a digital aerial i think. Is it just the freeview that is built into the tv?

If using a freeview box, somewhere in the settings will be an option to show the signal strength and quality (TV's with built-in Freeview also should have this). Both these settings need to be as good as possible for clear reception. Or for info on the Digital change over: www.digitaluk.co.uk/Good luck - I struggle with reception up in the Frozen North too and needs a high gain aerial to get a good picture!

Amy , is there an auto tune in the menu? did you receive digital with your last tv through the same arial? It should not need a lan connection

One review on the net says that they was 2 different antenna sockets and it will not tune properly if the wrong one is used....just a shot in the dark.

As it is a smart tv you may need an internet connection via lan to perform a setup.... The tv side usually is performed through the aerial only.

See if you can get exact model number from back of TV or box Page 24 to 26 of this manual is what you want (if it's right guide for your tv...) Menu > Channel (enter to select) Set antenna ("aerial") to "Air" Set Country to UK Auto Tune (Digital & Analogue) If still no digital channels found then it might be worth trying a known good tv aerial in another room / house

Well I have managed to get the channels i had before. (a nice selection of the freeview channels) I know my area is poor for reception so never going to get all the freeview ones with the antenna i have. Thank you all for your help and advice.
