do the lights dim/go out when you try and start it? Stick a meter across the battery and try and start it, if it drops below 9v its gonna be the battery, if it just clicks and voltage just drops slightly it could be the starter or solenoid, if it does nothing check connections and earth.. do that first actually
with the engine running it should charge at around 14.5v

Sounds like a starter motor issue to me as well. The click will be the starter relay. Low charge in the battery could also be the problem.

Could be the clutch switch or stand switch (if fitted)

If the engine is not turning, its likely a starter issue.
If the engine is turning, it's likely a fuelling or spark plug issue - but you said it bumped, so this is doubtful - could be a weak battery.
If the engine is turning but it wont run, could be a kill switch/stand switch issue - but it bumped, so it probably isn't that.
I suspect it will be a battery related issue - either that or the starter. Try hooking the battery to a car battery via jumper cables - see if it starts them - is so, weak battery. If not, possibly a screwed starter.

Had the same with a Bandit 600...thought it was the starter motor but it was a shagged battery even after a charge it had died of power....can you try someones battery on it?

I stuck a meter on it earlier and and it didnt drop much when lights were on or when we hit the start button, it dimmed the light when start button was pressed but all that does it click once
