The ZZr`s always had sort of a missing fit around 3.5k to 4k, you could ride through it no problem but try and hold it in that rev range and it was a pain. Tried all the usual, cleaning, redex etc but no change, someone recommended the Forte gas treatment. Well it seems to have worked with no sign of missing in that rev range, must have shifted something. Supposedly only available to trade but seems to be plenty on ebay quite cheap.

I used Forte motor flush and gas treatment on my Golf GTI which had clocked up 240,000 miles before I sold it, would highly recommend these products.
I purchased Forte products locally, from Volkswerk, Snowdon Road, Middlesbrough.

As Dave (Maverick) says, Forte products are similar to Redex etc., they are not cheap but you only get what you pay for. Sounds like Redex didn't do the trick but Forte did, there lies the answer. If you want more information, visit their website:- www.forteuk.co.uk/

Ok for carbs and injection ? It does what it says on the tin, yes it can be used for both applications, my GTI was fuel injected. "Forté Advanced Formula Gas Treatment is compatible with High Pressure Direct Injection petrol engines."

Forte Gas Treatment is available from Volkswerk at a cost of £14.50 including 15% discount for Teesside Bikers, ask for Alex or Kevin and mention TB's when purchasing for this deal.

Been to Volkswerk today, Kevin is now the Proprietor, asked for TB's discount and got 20% off a bottle of Forte Gas Treatment, now £13.63.
Put full bottle in and filled petrol tank up on XJ650 ready for Boundary 500 Classic.
(Trackside Motorcycles sell Wurth Petrol Additive at £6 per tin which does a tank full of fuel.)

we use the forté treatment at work, gas and motor flush and diesel treatment and few of customers have give feed back that it's improved the MPG by a few.
if you get your car serviced by a garage in the good garage scheme they should use this stuff.
never thought of using it on a bike to be honest! I'll think i give it try!
