ive got a similar system, the original "sucker" mount has been drilled and has a cable tie through it going to a climbing caribena which fits around the screen brace. This is in case the primary mount comes away from the rev counter because of vibration. A small clear plastic womans make up bag is easily modified into a waterproof case. Of course you can see through it. Its glove friendly (ish) but for the amount of money saved im happy to remove my glove to programme it

haha I really like your idea alot! would save you the 40 odd I spent! but the one problem is .... how waterproof it is?
