Not sure how these have been updated but mine are 5 years old now and simply do not let in water, waterproof - period. Fitting is a bit on the tight side so I'd advise going half a size larger than normal. Great sole and comfy to wear as well: Just one supplier: www.infinitymotorcycles.com/product/sidi-black-rain-evo-boots/4

I will vouch for that I bought the normal sidi ones and soon saw the error of my ways. So went out and bought this pair. All the way back from Donigton in torrental rain my feet stayed dry. Shame about the rest of me!

i have the gortex sidi vertebrae boots and love them. had a pair of normal sidi vertebrae before them as well. was a little disappointed though they only lasted me about 11 years lol.

I have these rain evo's too, unfortunately mine arent water proof, but if any one has seen my boots they'll know why, there is not sole left on the toes due to riding a deauville and the pegs bottoming out rather quickly.
they were cracking when i first bought them though after two years and a bit of use i wouldnt like to rely on them in a bad crash in terms of ankle support. however very comfortable and have seen my ankle well in two crashes one road, one track. the track crash the bike actually landed on my ankle.
i paid £110 off ebay, and i think ill be sticking with sidi (always have from trials to MX) when i buy some new ones

I have pair of them, very comfy. Last week was going to Darlington (and back) in very heavy rain, everything completely wet even helmet started to leak but boots stayed dry
