Yep, historically one of the better/best heated clothing makers..... Care to do a detailed review please? Cheers - Frank

Dear tees. bikers; Re. GERBINGS heated clothing: I ride my bike to commute from Darlo to Boro throughout the year I got sick of feeling like the Michelin man as i put on more and more layers as the winter and weather got worse. I decided to rethink the problem and update the riding gear with modern products to replace the oudated mix of army surplus and lidl's cheapo B-square (exactly) products. First off, i treated myself to an Aerostich roadcrafter all-in-one riding suit but i was surprised by the 'thinness' of the suit. I realised that 'base layers' were the next items required. I looked at Gerbings heated products and balked at the prices so invested in a 2nd hand gerbings jacket off ebay. It worked well but was a bit small so when i found another NOS Gerbings jacket with better spec for £25 i bought a jacket and trousers, £50 all in. the trousers fitted well and connect to the jacket via one jack plug. the jacket was a good fit but the neck when fully zipped up was a bit tight to say the least. I learnt to live with the tight neck though, as its the first part of the jacket to warm through and within a minute of switch on its not tight, its just cosy!the elastic on the cuffs could be better but the rest of the jacket, pockets, zips etc is robust enough to wear as a normal, if tight, bomber jacket. I power the jacket through a cigarette lighter type plug into the 12v power outlet i fitter to the suzuki GSXF dash. the adaptor has an on off switch which cost £15 off ebay. so for £65 ive got an old but unused full heated suit of winter riding. Of course, im not looking forward to the icy road conditions, but the cold shouldn't touch me this year. Feel free to ask any Q's about the Gerbings or Aerostich suit...
