hi all, is there an easy or easier way of removing a decal? im trying to replace a scratched 600f decal from my side panel and it wont shift , hair dryer and it just comes off in little flakes not a clean pull , any advice is welcomed

kev you can buy what we call a caramac wheel its a light brown rubber wheel with a spindle in the middle you put it in a drll and as it spins it peels the decals off hopefully without damaging the paintwork called a caramac wheel cos its the same colour and it smells like cadburys caramac chocolate mmm .they take vynal stickers sign writing lettering ect car stick on stripes, the sponge crap that stays on a panel when you remove body mouldings ect . buy from wurth , or most car body and paint outlets , brown brothers , partco , fleet factors or wherever you buy your car paints

You need a good hot hairdryer Kev our lasses is mint for taking decals off but don`t tell her she will kill me ;D ;D took the 600f of the panel i have here in one go.So Hot it needs to be i hope ya thumb gets better soon. ;D

oh and pouring a boiling kettle over the decals will also make them easy to peal off but if there old and gone brittle and just come off in small bits then the heat method isnt as good

Soak it in wd40 and leave a while, comes off easier if not you can borrow my kango ;D

i use to soak the panels in a hot bath (with bubble bath in it) for half an hour,...another reason why im divorced haha!!
