Hi Guys I have little project that I am on with that if its works could be of help to any disable rider . I am making a thumb rear brake that will fit on the left side of the handle bar using a front brake its in the early stages of development at the moment but I know how I want it to fit and I am sourcing parts .What I need is 1 or 2 alloy leavers that I can cut up and use if anyone has a old brake or clutch leaver that they don't want let me know I also need 2 C clamps the ones that hold the leaver to the the bar. When it comes to any machining that I would need Mark at Extreme Performance Solutions has offered to help out , I will be going to see Mark when I have finished the mounting of the leaver to get and brake pipes and any other fittings that I will need . I have looked around for ready made thumb brake and only found ones that fit sports bike

A friend of mine made a thumb brake for a pedal trials bike using the thumb gear shift from a mountain bike, it worked pretty sweet. Now I know its not going to be a straight transfer to a motorbike but the thumb action and movement of it was spot on.
Maybe some food for thought?

www.supermotojunkie.com/showthread.php?75045-DIY-thumb-rear-brakeLooking to do some thing like this but using a Kaw 600 leaver , I will able wire up the switch to use as stop light . Also it will have a remote reservoir and wont look as bulky . I have tried one like in the picture and it does`nt look quite right to bulky alongside the clutch leaver reservior on my Suzuki
