Hi,
Ive got an older PS3 (Non slim) that sounds like a jet taking off when the fan kicks in.
Does anyone know where I can get it serviced and the fan upgraded ? ... Asked at a local computer shop and they quoted £90 !!
Cheers.

Tried the tuna tin method to deal with the fan? Just lift the intake clear of any blockage and it should quiet the fan right down

It prob full of dust and crud so it heats up quite quickly and makes a hell of a whine. [glow=red,2,300]speshsgirl[/glow] ... If your passing please do, but no need to go out your way. Cheers.

I know ... Had I been away another 2 or 3 mins I think it would have gone up properly and set fire to my new TV.
After taking the PS3 apart with a lump hammer, it seems all the mass of accumulated crud and dust had caught alight somehow.
