Chaps and chapesses, I noticed that the blade felt like it had a flat tyre on my last run out and so I got off to check it and all was well. When I got home I put it on the paddock stands and checked the bearings. Sure enough the front bearings were starting to go and we're moving by maybe 1 to 2mm which was enough to make the bike feel unsteady. For the grand total of £15 I got some top quality bearings (Koyo) and seals and went round the Jacko's as I've never done them before. For the sake of five minutes both bearings and seals were replaced and I now have piece of mind. I just thought I'd post it on here as some of us might be thinking of doing some maintenance on the bikes over the winter months and this is one thing that shouldn't be ignored. Front bearing failure can be catastrophic and cause a lock up and we all know what that means when we're riding progressively. This was a public service message brought to you by Swallox Industries

Paul take it to 2WS or similar it's too complicated for you. You'll only end up hitting your finger or taking your eye out. Alternatively let the lads in DSU head-but them in for you (now how's that for cheeky)

I will accept 2013 hasn't been a great year what with putting her down the road at Cadwell, moving home and Donk taking up my time it's been a poor year... I didn't even get chance to claim my raffle winning breakfast... Here's hoping for 2014!!! I would imagine Kev will be on the top floor in a granny home by then

For the grand total of £15 I got some top quality bearings (Koyo) and seals. I'm looking to replace the front & rear wheel bearings & seals on Bob's Bike. Where did you get yours from?

Once again, can't fault SB&T LTD., 2 front wheel bearings & oil seal for less than £15.
