The reasons for asking about the batteries were,
the non-Yuasa one lasted 2 years, therefore, not a good recommendation,
in the future, I may purchase a Yuasa one for my either of my bikes & would like to know where from.
I've contributed to this thread with good intention, sharing info. for the benefit of all.

WoW, Ive just realised that my copied post below from an Aprilia website as actually FOUR YEARS OLD now and the battery is still going strong... "Just thought that I'd mention in passing that the above battery (Uprated battery: YTX14H-BS)has been running fine on my falco this last few months and continues to perform well, so seems able to be recommended. I phoned MDS batteries www.mdsbatteries.co.ukand they offered a discounted price of £82 at the time including delivery which I jumped at!" NEXT. Earlier this year I fitted a PC680 Odyssey battery to my Ducati, no a popular modern choice as its MUCH heaver than the original but has a high CCA, if interested just for.... Bloody 'ell, I'll do it for ya ;-) www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/motorsport/batteries/odyssey-extreme-racing-25-battery-pc680

The battery on Bob's Bike is now over 5 years old. It starts the bike ok, however, with the lights on, the indicators struggle to flash at idle speed. When the engine speed is raised, the indicators work better. Have done some voltage checks. With the battery charger attached and in maintenance mode, the voltage is 13.7v. After disconnecting the charger and leaving the battery to rest, the voltage is around 12.7v. With the lights on etc., when the engine speed is increased to +2,000 RPM, the battery voltage shows around 14.0v. This shows that the alternator is ok and doing it's job. I'm suspecting that although the voltage figures look ok, the battery capacity is not good. Yuasa give the following figures for their battery and charging procedure test, www.yuasabatteries.com/faqs.php?action=1&id=30Might just have a look and recheck the voltage readings.

Battery put on charge, went to maintenance mode more or less straight away. Will check the voltage with the charger attached. The Datatool battery charger spec. is 13.6v in maintenance mode, www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/oncirrus/3/file/0123456789/0123456789/datatool_battery_conditioner_manual.pdfAfter an hour in maintenance mode, the battery voltage was indeed 13.6v. Charger disconnected & battery left to rest, will check again after at least an hour. Voltage fell to 13.0v, with the ignition on, the voltage was 11.8v. The starting test was OK, voltage fell to 10.5v, started first time without any problems & was repeatable when stopped/started. The alternator checked out at 14.2 - 14.5v at +2,000 RPM, with both the lights off/on. The indicators seem to need a minimum of 12.0v, at idle, that's about all I get. Raise the engine speed & all is OK around 13.0v. I think the indicators are just a foible of the bike. Whilst the battery starts the bike, which is the biggest current draw, will leave well alone. Not bad for a Blue Label battery costing around £20, www.brooksbarn.co.uk/DC-BATTERY-YB12A-A-W-ACID-PACK_A1GLPW.aspxBased on the above results, MDS did not want to sell me a new battery.

If you are looking for a Yuasa battery, give Halfrauds Stockton a try, you may be pleasantly surprised, I was.
Got a YB12A-A battery for £39 off the shelf, MDS want £55 for the same item.
Although the over 5 year old, £20-25 Blue Label battery starts the bike, it doesn't have sufficient capacity for the lights & indicators.
Hopefully the new battery will do the trick, only time will tell.
