I can not compare any but Nic has the Keis Gloves and Waistcoat with no complaints...except she does not use the controler for the waistcoat as it cuts the power to low on the gloves. I think thats why the controler is usually FOC. . Sucessfully resurected thread Dave

Heated gloves are fantastic.. Utterly, utterly, fantastic! I've waffled about them loads of times on here. However one of mine's just gone dicky, so if I don't get a car this year (which I likely won't) I'll be buying a new pair/troubleshooting these ones. And coming up with a way to protect the male connectors on the bike, since they corrode after several soakings, despite regular acf'ing. Which is what I suspect the issue is, though it could be because the wire dangled onto the exhaust a few times are melted... But it seems to be the right glove (would be wouldn't it... ) that doesn't work regardless of which wire I use with which glove. One tip for the heat controller, if you get anything Gerbing, because it's quite sizable, put it somewhere you can easily access with your left hand. I, stupidly, didn't take this into consideration, and put it somewhere easy to reach with my right hand... When stationary/clutching in traffic... Not when riding at motorway speeds, in the freezing winter months, just as you need to turn it up a notch.

And to add to what I said... About the heat controller, with the two long as bugger wires that come off it, which attach to the gloves... That is supposed to go in your pocket and down your arms. Yea... That doesn't attach to the bike. And it took me until I removed the unit to realise that it doesn't. Even though I'd previously picked up on the fact the lead connectors started to corrode because they didn't have end caps. Which is probably because they're not supposed to stay on the bike in all weathers, like they did. And the connector that actually connects the unit to the battery does have a cap on it. Aaaaaaaaand I rode around for about 6 months with two whopping big wired flapping in the breeze or burning on the downpipes. I feel stupid. And I've probably buggered my gloves, or some component connecting to them. Hopefully it's just those wires, else this is going to get expensive. In my defence I didn't act alone in the set up, my mate was there... And neither of us twigged on. Still... Bugger

I think thats why the controler is usually FOC. . Yes, sounds like the controllers are not designed for use with outer gloves, however a controller is recommended for use with the insoles. I was initially offered an old style, old stock controller with 3 settings, not the new one with 4 settings for the same price, I wasn't having that!
