Hi all,
whats the best and quickest way to remove rust from inside petrol tank & can anyone recomend somewhere that would weld a tank its just a little leak on the side where the plastics hooks on 2 different tanks one with rust inside other with small leak

An explosion waiting to happen - you have to fill them up with water right up to the leak point leaving no space with any gasses in the tank ( the leak point being uppermost, so that the smallest volume contains gasses).This is only after it has been fully steam / hot water with detergent cleaned and degreased inside and no explosive gasses can be detected before welding is even attempted with it full of water - a specialist job and hence costly if done correctly. This is the way we did fuel tanks at Corus for the lorries / vehicles etc.

Clear flow radiaters in darlington did a fantastic job for me. there isnt much these guys cant do inc petrol tank repairs www.clearflowradiators.co.uk/
