Seem to have a puddle under my left fork...
Assuming it's not an easy DIY job, what should I expect to pay?
Is the bike safe to ride until it's sorted?
Should I be topping up the fork oil, and how?
Cheers!

Not your bike but may give some idea of what's involved. Alternatively, Alpha Suspension may be able to help. Cracking job once again on rebuilding my Forks by John @ Alpha Suspension in Leeds.

"Hi Dave, Thanks for your message. If the oil is leaking so bad its leaving a puddle under the fork leg then this needs attending to ASAP. My primary concern is that the oil is getting on the disc and pads. If its on the pads then they need to be binned, because they cannot be cleaned up. The forks will still work, and a little puddle can look like a lot of oil so topping up is totally impractical if not impossible due to the critical measurement of the air gap on top of the oil. As far as costs go I can only speak for myself, if I were to check the forks and replace both the seals and fill with new oil I would ask for £75.00 to loose forks. If I was asked to take the forks out of the bike then I would ask for £130.00. Shipping, I'm not insured for shipping and so delivery and collection would need to be arranged by the customer, the following links offer good choices My Parcel and Parcel 2 Go . Lead times, the mantra my conscience is most comfortable with is quality not quantity and so I would need the forks/bike for 3-4 days. I hope this helps. Warm regards
John"
