hi,
have a zzr1100 C1 it starts ok and idles well but on moving off cuts out at 3500 rpm and wont go above this ...havnt got a haynes so googled and few different opinions ...is it correct that the carbs would have a idle jet and a throttle jet and could this be the problem... was out on it a few weeks ago got a bit lumpish near the end of the ride and just put it in the garage but on going to go for a quick peg round on sunday came up against this problem ??
cheers

Sounds like a carb problem.
Off the top of my head there's a jet in those carbs and its for the engine at speed. If its blocked you get fuel starvation & loss of power. My old FZR had a similar problem what I sorted by removing the carbs and ultrasonic cleaning the whole lot. Didn't need to strip them.

Idle and main jets, main jets might be utterly gunked up but seems a bit odd they would all get gummed up at once. Sounds like it could be dodgy fuel might be worth draining the tank, giving the carbs a clean and putting some fresh fuel in

I would check Carburettor diaphragms to see if any have split, easy check and no need to remove carbs normally.
