Wondered if anyone knew or could recommend someone for a 'discreet' D.P.F. removal on my car.
Had the car tuned and the guy will remove the ECU's DPF function's, but he doesn't do the actual dirty work of hacking the exhaust up.

I think Big Fish Tuning remove DPF, split it, gut it, reweld and refit. I think the MOT test will be visual check only (needs to be confirmed) so should be ok. I had the EGR delete done at Big Fish Tuning on the Afla, turns it of in software but leaves it in place so ok for MOT.

I was told Big Fish only remap .... If they can do the lot I might give them a call.
I'm lead to believe that the MOT is a visual check only. As long as you don't have a straight thro pipe it will pass.
From GOV.UK
Tests for diesel cars and lorries are to be tightened up to ensure vehicles have a critical exhaust filter if one had originally been fitted as standard, Roads Minister Robert Goodwill has announced.
Garages and testing stations will be required check for a diesel particulate filter (DPF) in the inspection of the exhaust system as part of the MOT test (or annual test for heavy vehicles) from February 2014.
The vehicle will automatically fail the MOT test if the filter had been fitted as standard but is found to be no longer present.

If you speak to John at Big Fish...they can sort out the DPF removal too.
