Right I have an alarm on my bike it's a gsxr 600 fitted with an acumen alarm/immobiliser.
It was tempramental and often chose not to disengage which I worked out to be an ingress of moisture but it has been fine for a while after some sealant.
Can anybody tell me why the alarm has completely died and I can still start the bike? Surely the imobiliser system should still work?? Unless the unit has sh*t itself??

How long has it been stood? Has it drained the battery?
I found my alarm / immobiliser done that after standing for a month.

Does the alarm have a fused supply?

The bike was stood a day or two it's only the alarm and imobiliser that doesn't work for some reason the bike still does which I find very odd, it's like it's stuck disarmed??

To be fair M'Cycle alarms are more trouble than they are worth. Its proved no one gives a toss about an alarm and will happily walk past a bike being stolen.
Better to get it removed and invest in a whopping big chain.

My Meta alarm/immobiliser packed in a month ago on my Honda Valkyrie a week before our trip to Spain & upon investigating the internal lithium battery only lasts approx 10 years which is when it was fitted (2010).The bike would start but it was draining the bike battery,i searched for hours how to fix it but in the end i had to buy a replacement unit at a cost of £160 with a new wiring loom (because the old unit was obsolete)& the new alarm was a updated version,it was basically a plug & play unit,i also had to buy a new battery for the bike.It was easier & cheaper to replace than have it taken out altogether which involved stripping the bike down to remove all the wiring,up to now it is working fine even after our 2500 mile trip to Spain.

I think yes, but can't tell you exactly what happened. Moreover, I don't think it will somehow impact your bike. What I would recommend to do is to create a special topic on a big bikers social network bike.net, where you can describe your issue and get a reasonable answer.
