Hi all Now this may sound stupid but i'm having bother getting those annoying warning stickers off that you get on your tank and swingarm. I managed to get off the plastic top coating which I thought would make the next bit easy as its now only paper, how wrong I was. Being a bit of a lazy sod i cant be bothered to sit and pick at it with my fingernail (which would take an hour probs) so far I have tried soaking it with wd40, petrol, ethanol and water at different times and these have had no effect at all . Next on my list to try a domestic steam cleaner, my only concern is 90-100oC of heat going to effect my paint?

Try a hairdryer, but go gentle around the sticker till fairly warm. This softens the adhesive and will allow the sticker to be peeled off.

Steam didn't work, may try it again when the tank isn't so full, that will probably help the hair dryer method too

Methinks there is a wind up going on, next it will be mayo for half an hour on the first new moon of May with the bike pointing towards Mecca?

Well i finally got round to doing this, the hair drier / credit card combo was certainly effective for the sticker itself (the mayo didn't penetrate through the sticker), but the mayo did remove the residual glue
