Hey everyone, I'm new to biking and i'm new to this website I found it through google. I am not sure where to start or membership fees to go to meetups and stuff so I thought i'd start here to introduce myself. I'm Chris, I currently got my CBT license today and i'm riding a Peugeot tweet 125 CC. i'm not really sure if i'm allowed to come to your meet ups as i know i'm not allowed on motorways. so if you do go to meetups that isn't on motorways then please let me know. I am hoping to get my full bike license after a few years of riding the 125 as i'm still learning to ride the bike and stuff. i'm not sure what else to say about myself other than that i'm 21 years old and my birthdays in January. I joined this site hopefully to make new friends and bikers. as i live in Middlesbrough but originally from Grimsby so when i moved in 2005 i lost all my friends and found it hard to make friends. Plus i'm bored of being stuck in the house 24/7 a part from when im working. so hoping im allowed to come to some meets. Thanks everyone , Hopefully you enjoyed reading. Have a good evening

Welcome to the forum Chris. There are no fees to pay. You may get stung for a brew however. Chris, there is a meeting every Tuesday evening at the Pitstop cafe/ dinner. I tend not to go, but if its a nice evening, there is usually a lot of bikes turn up.
Enjoy the forum, lots of info to read up on, and from time to time some good banter to laugh at.

What time is the meeting? as I work 5 days a week. do you do any meets or anything ? and are we allowed to bring 125 CC bikes? as thats all i'm allowed to ride at moment and i'm not allowed on motorways with it.

Hi Chris! Welcome and thanks for the message - well done on finding your way around the site. There is a meets listing that I put together a few YEARS ago (OMG), in this link... teessidebikers.proboards.com/thread/7066/meets-listingThere isnt too many ride outs these days sadly, in previous years there used to be a few L-plate rideouts that catered just for that group - helped on one myself, good fun. IS there many Learner riders here you could meet up for a run out? There is a Facebook page for Teesside Bikers too as riders with time off during the week could post up impromptu rideouts if they fancied some company... There are some good FB groups for rides in the area, NERDS and Biking Buddies being just two of them. Thanks for taking up biking Chris and not just going down the car route - without riders like you, biking ultimately has no future. Cheers - Frank

Not many ride outs include the use of motorways, most of them are on the fun roads that lead to ice creams
