Once I get the tank back for Bob's Bike, with the help of GRM, will remove the final drive unit & swinging arm. The latter needs powder coating, it's slightly rusty after 26 years since it was last done. Will probably get the centre & side stands done too. Other accessible areas on the frame will be rubbed down/wire brushed & some Hammerite Smooth slapped on. Ordered new bearings & seals etc. from Fowlers.

The tank has returned, looking very nice too, thanks to Gonzo.
Time to refit it & start on removing the swinging arm for powder coating.

I just knew that was David's tank from Gonzo's photo on FB - nice work.
My Garage is a dangerous mess at the moment, so sorting that needs to a priority!

With the help of GRM, my backend has now been dismantled, just need to remove the swinging arm bearing outer races, then it's ready for powder coating.

Just fitted a pair of Moto Guzzi silencers, they've work out quite well, pleased with the result. Purchased from Gutsibits near Huddersfield, www.gutsibits.co.uk/pr/Home/index.phpThey look similar to the Yamaha OEM ones which are now no longer available.

Had a trot out today, dropped out the oil & changed the filter when I got home.
Spark plugs & air filter changed.
Just need to get booked into AMR at Bellerby to have the carb. balance checked. Will get the exhaust gas analysis checked too after having changed the silencers.
Fork springs to come, plus new front wheel bearings.
Probably will get the Hagon rear shocks too.
Should be good to go for the new season, looking forward to it.
