Hi to everyone Andy is my name and Eston is where i live, stumbled across this site by accident so thought i would register and say hello, been riding off road bikes since my teens but starting to hurt when i fell off so i give it up 4 years ago and passed my test bought 600 bandit for a few months then got my current bike yam xjr 1300 which i have modifed a bit and covered 20k on it, it has been totally reliable and never let me down cant see me ever getting rid, im an active member of the xjr owners club and have been a moderator within the club, i hope to get round to meeting a few people on here at local meeting places or the odd rideout Ps. been driving a car for 20 years but the bike has taken me to places i would never of dreamed of going in the car

Hi Andy and welcome to TB's. I know one or two others with XJR's and Durham Police Bike Cops use them. Looks like you do a reasonable mileage. What is a moderator with the club? Where have you been on the bike and not the car, have you any suggestions you would like to share with others for ride outs etc? Cheers, David.

Hi Peeps, My mates call me Nobby, a nickname from my time in the Forces, i live in Germany quite close to the city of Osnabrück. I ride a GSF1200 Bandit which i bought new in 2004 but unfortunately due to injury have only managed 1500 miles on it since new, i hope to be out and about a bit more this season though.... These German Autobahns are very tempting...

Hi Waterfilter, If you decide to come across in Aug then i can recommend the Newcastle - Amsterdam crossing with DFDS, i´ve done the trip a few times via Calais - Dover but believe me the saddle starts to feel like a razor blade after 5 or 6 hours..

Hi dayglo as andy has put up a moderator keeps an eye on the day to day running of the site and keeps unsuitable posts off the site, and re the car verse bike the car for me is an A to B thing whereas the bike makes me want to explore roads and routes. Hi Andy re the touring ive got a week booked up the west coast of Scotland and on to skye in july, love it up there amazing roads and secenery, i did lands end to jon o groats last year with no motorways 2500miles door to door and no rain what a week we picked lol, always have a few camping w,ends away too but there usually sorted out in the pub Hi Alan where abouts is Teds then not heard of it im afraid

Already booked the Newcastle - Amsterdam crossing, dint fancy riding all the way down the country, as it is a shit ride anyhow...Anwyay I think you should start your own thread and not hijack someone elses....
