My Lad knocked the big end out on his (Chicken chaser)so i stripped it piston rings ,bore all looked u.s. trying to get the gear off the crank was murder ,left a puller on all night soaked it with supercrack next morning zilch! would not move at all.so i checked the site sponsor list for someone that was good with two strokes.
thought i would give Geoff Towers a try left the engine with him last week he rang me next day to say he had managed to get the gear off but not without a fight .he saved the bore as it is nickasill plated one sorted new bearings, seals ,crank piston and reassembled it and price wise i was expecting to pay at least fifty pounds more .This kind of expertise is priceless and i would like to say what a Gentleman he is . Definitely gets the Lonerangers seal of approval.great service lovely to talk to. Bravo and thanks Geoff

Well now i,ve got some humble pie to eat coz i gave the lad a hairdrying and now it looks like the gear had spun on the crank and welded itself on

I haven't used him for a number of years but I always used to take my RG to him. He really is a decent bloke.
