Decided to change broadband provider as router not working and Sky wouldn't replace router free. Put CD in to load new software said it would take half an hour . Took about hour and a half Instructions didn't tell me totally what to do as it wouldn't connect. Luckily i remembered about a password I had to put into my works computer when I first set it up on Sky broadband. Anyway I'm up and running now and hopefully won't keep losing connection like has been happening far the past few months.

Hasn't worked with ethernet cable for months so bought a dongle thingy to make my computer wireless and that helped for a few months but started getting so as wouldn't stay connected for more than about an hour. Also speeds were so slow that struggling to watch you tube clips. So much better this evening, web pages responding much quicker.

I used to think sky were naff too but broadband speed checks show ours as decent for the base package in our area and I've been WELL over my download allowance (surprise, surprise) for the last few months and yet the speed has not been throttled back - as was suggested might happen.
