I remember sitting there in 89, watching it unfold on tv. I was 14 and a bit. Shocking, horrifying.
I went to Anfield afterwards, laid my scarf, cried my tears.
I still remember after all these years. I still get proper sad about it - such a waste of life.
I went to school with people who's family died. I grew up with a lad who was pulled from the Leppings Lane End. It hit our community hard.
I am a died in the wool Evertonian. I hate Liverpool with a passion, always have., but on that day, and every anniversary since it all goes by the boards.
Rest in peace lads and lasses. RIP the 96 - no one should go to the footy and never return.
