Rieju Rs2 50

hey all,
following the purchase of my first bike,
a couple of tb members have been over to check it over and see why it wont start up properly,

i have been told i will need to replace the following things;

-front wheel bearings
-fork seals
-piston rings
-exhaust replacing/fixing

i was wondering if i could get some help on tracking down parts and how i should go about doing things

the bike is a rieju rs2 50 matrix 2005 model with a AM6 engine

Response from my mate:

He says bits for these are megabucks for genuine but there are some OEM ones about that might be able to be sourced.

For the piston rings he needs to know if it's a Minarelli or a Derbi engine - can you send the frame no as 2005 was the changeover year! He will then be able to let you know what he can get and how much.

He also says is it running? As they are a bit of a tw*t to work on and "bit of a lemon" seems to be the default staus for most of the ones he has worked on - to the extent that despite being a registered Aprillia dealer they dont sell them any more!



So, get us the frame number and I'll give him a bell to work through the rest.
