ive drilled plenty in the past, just make sure theres plenty of meat in the area your drilling! have you thought about having your risers welded to your yoke?

i hadnt thought of welding them , the yoke is obviously thinner in the middle than the thick lip around the edge thats why i was concerned about its strength ,thanks

Trouble with drilling yoke is underneath, you need to look at the casting. Most of the yoke's are not flat and can cause you problems with drilling, and you will be surprised at just how thin some yokes are. Plus you need to be spot on with your measuring, at the risers might feel ok but the bar ends will tell a different story. A billet custom yoke looks better and can be stronger but isnt a must. One thing to think about, If you are involved in an accident and the risers brake etc the insurance assessor may use this to invalidate your insurance and leave you in a world of shit.
