erm.... if you mean a quickshifter, the one on the RSV4 is FANTASTIC, best ever if you mean reverse shift on a gear lever - never actually tried that - you'd need to be pretty focussed and very careful on a 1st few trackdays; maybe ok if you have a slipper clutch fitted. Cheers - F.

yer i mean the reverse type, not got enough money for a quick shift system I know it would take a bit of concentration like, old habits die hard!

You would be better going for a quick shifter over the gp setup wouldnt you? Might be worth saving up that bit extra and going for it instead

yer i know, just the benefits of smooth mid turn changes and quick un awkward up shifts are tempting. plus i like no electronice intervention i like doing all the work, thats were the fun lies right

thing is if you are swapping n changing bikes its going to effect you every time you change over, the last thing you need is someone running up your a** if you shift the wrong way

And if you get the right quick shifter all it needs is a new linkage and it will work on the majority of bikes

has any ever used one? i know the principal, but i was just wondering what people thought of them I've rode a 07 r1 with one fitted and it was weird having to concentrate telling your right wrist to hold the throttle pinned , most of the time my natural reactions made me close the throttle for a nano second , when changing gear. On the changes where I managed to keep it wide open I then pulled the clutch in ?? Which is what your meant to not have to do . Old habits of engineering sympathy die hard ! For me they are weird , not better , not worse but also for me not worth the money ! Hence the ninja does without one . Probably only a Moto gp rider should NEED one ?
