Have spoken to both Cooper at Sunderland & Barrie Robson at York, they both seem prepared to be a bit more flexible/accommodating over servicing, knowing that there are independents & DIY'ers out there too.

BMW (in conjunction with Castrol), have down-graded the engine oil specification from 10w-50 Fully Synthetic API SL to 15w-50 Part Synthetic API SJ. The 15w-50 viscosity range is not recommended in the 2012 RT Rider's Manual. |

This is how you change the Final Drive oil on a 1200 RT which doesn't have a drain plug.  |
