How's it libel if its true ? ... The sites not responsible for libel it's the poster if it turns out to be untrue.
Deleting posts without explanation is not right.

Got to admit, I don't normally get too involved with other peoples fights, but in this case.... It was first brought to my attention when it was first posted on a website dedicated to this bike brand. I was also aware of another on that forum, who is also a member of this forum and had also bought from Viva-Moto and also had a bad time with them. That said, I can see a potential issue for the admin on this site IF a poster puts on anything that could be construed as libelous, they could also be indited for giving that poster a platform from which to attack someone. From what memory serves though, I believe Hman only posted what had happened in the buying process and subsequent dealings with Viva-Moto. If Viva-Moto were to offer their side of the q=argument then a clearer picture may emerge. But then again....this setion IS titled as Biker Watchdog............and specifically asks if "have you been ripped off...let us know" in its banner title....  |

I was there a month or so ago. Not buying a bike, another reason. But the whole industrial estate was taken up with bike units.(I thought wow) But if each unit is being drip fed cheap stock from webuyanybike and then re-advertised it thru a proxy company "Viva moto" plus adding finance, they`re making a lot of cash. but it all looked dodgy when I was looking about. Some units looked more professional than others.

It'd be a pretty good little set-up if they were all decent dealers. And they may well be, I only went to VivaMoto, so I can only speak on them being crap. Side note - Posts shouldn't have been removed. There was nothing said that was untrue or at all unfair. They deserve every piece of bad rep they get. Effectively taking hard earned money off people under false pretence. |

I've checked the security log regarding missing posts, nothing has been removed by any of the admin team or by me. If individuals have removed posts then that's their business.
As for suggestions of editing for libel reasons, well that's hilarious.
If a member says he thinks x company is shite, that's his right to do so in the uk.
Me, the rest if the admin team and the Teesside bikers site don't endorse anything on here ( unless we say we do )
So feel free to hammer away at rip off merchants.
One thing worth noting though is that since the upgrade, thread pages have increased from 15 posts per page, to 20 posts per page.
A thread that previously contained 60 posts will no longer consist of 4 (15 post) pages, but rather 3 (20 post) pages.
I hope this clears things up

I'll also state catagorically that viva moto have not contacted me to bitch about anything posted on here.. But just in case they are thinking of doing so, I'd advise them against it. My response will consist of two syllables ! If you've ripped people off ( and it would appear that you have ) and you don't like the slatings, then tough shit! Suck it up guys, cos you've brought it upon yourselves. |

WTF?? Right, I quoted someone in the original thread, but when I posted it, it wasn't there. So I tried again naming the next post attempt 2... That never showed either... At failed attempt 4, I created a new thread, went to the original thread, clicked "move all posts to new thread" and the posts that weren't in the original thread ( including all my attempts ) are now showing  What the actual f@&£? Has anything else reappeared? Very, very strange |

However, several posts in this thread HAVE disappeared, as three of us from the Benelli Forum had posted warnings re VivaMoto and that we now had Dom Littlewood onboard looking into them. |

There's definitely been gremlins in the original thread, but I can catagorically state that there's been no interference from any of the admin team.
If you wish to copy and paste other peoples findings from other forums onto here ( as a compiled list of gripes) I have absolutely no objections.
If I could give a solid explanation as to what's happened precisely, I would. But this bug has got us all beat.
Should I report it to pro boards? Probably, but it's a free forum, so I'll just suck it up this time.
If or when it happens again in other threads, please let us know and I'll lock the thread and report it.
