Email from Alpha Suspension...
"Hello.
This is just a quick line to say that I will be providing a Suspension Clinic at The Pit Stop Diner, Bowesfield Lane, Stockton-on-Tees. TS18 3HJ , on Sunday the 24th July from 10.00 am until 2.00 pm. Obviously I will be staying later if there is demand.
No appointment needed.
For details of this and other planned events check out Alpha Suspension Set-Up News page.
If you think someone might like to know about this event please forward this email to them and / or use the Twitter / Facebook link on my news page, or perhaps mention it on your regular forum.
This clinic is weather dependant and so if in doubt please check my website on the day or call.
Thanks in advance.
Warm regards John Sanderson"

also a few guys on there are recommending just changing the oil to 15w without buying new springs as it makes a considerable difference too. so might be a much cheaper 1st option and see how that goes

On my 1981 XJ650, I've often toyed with the idea of changing the fork springs & fork oil. I trust that the Yamaha R&D department know what they are doing, decided to leave well alone & just ride the bike accordingly. When Alpha suspension were at the Pit Stop recently, "as a joke", I asked if they could do anything with the suspension on my XJ650. Hagon Shocks do some progressive fork springs plus oil for an X11, www.hagon-shocks.co.uk/catalog/partdetail.aspx?PartNo=400-222-02KHaving spoken to Hagon & seen them at the NEC Bike Show, they might be worth contacting for their advice.

Without this being derogatory.... If you're not confident or competent leave to a professional. It's a specialist subject...

Hi thanks for link to the hagon springs. They seem pretty reasonable for £96.
I think i read before that 10w is recommended
